Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak is a successful businessman, long-time public servant and active member of the community. He joined the Clark County Commission in January 2009. He spent 10 years as a member of the Nevada Board of Regents, which governs the Nevada System of Higher Education. The Board of Regents provides oversight for eight academic institutions attended by more than 105,000 students in Northern and Southern Nevada.
Sisolak earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1974. He received his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Among his leadership roles, Sisolak has served on numerous local and regional boards, including the Metropolitan Police Committee on Fiscal Affairs, Big Bend Water District, Clark County Water Reclamation District and the Clark County School District Oversight Panel.
