Thomas A. Minwegen is the deputy general manager of engineering and operations for the Las Vegas Valley Water District, joining the organization more than 26 years ago.
His responsibilities include oversight of resource planning, major construction development and engineering design for a utility serving more than 338,000 customer accounts in the Las Vegas Valley. He also oversees the geographic information system (GIS), the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system, operations, production, asset management, and manages security programs within a large and rapidly expanding water distribution system.
Minwegen is a registered Professional Engineer within the state of Nevada. He is on the Board of Directors of the WateReuse Foundation and the WateReuse Association (WRA), and he serves on the WRA’s legislative team. He also serves as President of the WRA’s Nevada chapter. He graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
Tom is married with four children. He enjoys family, fishing, and church activities.
