Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Water District pay tax?
The Water District is exempt from Nevada Sales Tax and Federal Excise Tax for the procurement of goods.

Can I find out what prices were paid in the past for goods and services?
Prices paid for previous contracts are public information. You can ask us what we paid for a prior good or service before you offer us a quote on an upcoming project.

How rapidly does the Water District pay its bills?
The Water District pays its bills within 30 days of receipt of the invoice or delivery of the products or services, whichever is later. Special arrangements can be made for earlier payment.

Do you offer direct deposit for vendors?
We do offer direct deposit for faster payment. To enroll, fill out this form and fax it to (702) 258-7153. Your completion of the enrollment form signifes your acceptance of the terms and conditions.

Who is allowed to purchase goods/services for the Water District?
The majority of all purchases are made by the Water District's Purchasing Division. All departments have access to User Purchase Orders, which allow the departments to place orders for small purchases under $500 or place orders against existing blanket purchase orders.

Who can I contact if I have questions?
To reach the Purchasing Division, call (702) 258-3200, or fax (702) 258-3900 between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. PST. You also can e-mail us.
