Billing Questions

If you think you've been billed incorrectly, please call Customer Services at (702) 870-4194 during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST). The amount of your bill must be paid to prevent discontinuance of service. Any necessary adjustments will be shown on a future bill.

Late Charge

Bills become past due after the due date shown. Balances remaining after the due date are subject to a 4 percent late charge.

Service Charge

All customers are billed a service charge based on the size of the service meter. This charge pays for the direct costs of meter reading, meter maintenance and billing services.

Insufficient Funds Charge

If your payment is returned because of insufficient funds, you will be assessed a $15 charge.

Threshold

Water usage is billed at different rates depending on the amount of water used. The threshold is the point in usage when the water rate changes. Threshold levels are lowest for 5/8" meters and increase as meter size increases. Thresholds are computed based on a daily threshold amount and the number of days in the billing cycle. Your bill shows how much water you used in thousands of gallons for each threshold rate.

Usage

Your meter records your water usage in thousands of gallons. Your bill shows usage in thousands of gallons.

Meter Exchange and Dial Exchange

From time to time, we exchange the meters or meter dials due to malfunction or wear. If your bill shows exchange or reset, it means the old meter or the meter dial was replaced during the billing period.
