My Account Giveaway Official Rules

OFFICIAL RULES FOR THE LAS VEGAS VALLEY WATER DISTRICT "MY ACCOUNT" GIVEAWAY 

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

INTERNET ACCESS, LVVWD ACCOUNT NUMBER, VALID EMAIL ADDRESS, AND MOBILE PHONE NUMBER REQUIRED.    

The Las Vegas Valley Water District My Account Giveaway ("GIVEAWAY") is open only to Las Vegas Valley Water District ("LVVWD”) customers receiving water service from the LVVWD from an existing service connection during the GIVEAWAY Period who are legal residents of the United States and 18 years of age or older ("CUSTOMER”), subject to further conditions as stated herein. Only one entry per CUSTOMER. Offered only in the United States. Void where prohibited by law. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY IF YOU ARE NOT LOCATED IN THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES.  

By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Las Vegas Valley Water District ("LVVWD"), which are final and binding in all respects.

  1. GIVEAWAY PERIOD: June 1 – September 25, 2023; Pacific Standard Time.
    HOW TO ENTER: To enter, a CUSTOMER must sign up for My Account or update/validate existing My Account information during the GIVEAWAY PERIOD by visiting myaccount.lvvwd.com. To be eligible, a CUSTOMER’s My Account must include the account number for an active LVVWD account and the account holder’s first and last name, email address, and mobile phone number. Information provided by CUSTOMERS in My Account is subject to the Privacy Policy stated on https://www.lvvwd.com/about/privacy-policy/.  
  2. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS: Limit of one (1) entry per CUSTOMER when signing up for My Account or updating/validating your My Account information.  Acknowledgment of receipt of entry does not constitute any representation by LVVWD of eligibility for the GIVEAWAY or selection as a potential winner in the GIVEAWAY.  In the event of dispute as to ownership of an entry, entry shall be deemed made by the authorized owner of the My Account number or phone number provided, as determined by LVVWD in its sole discretion.  Entries must be manually key-stroked by entrant; use of programmed, robotic or like means of entry (e.g., third party giveaway-entry services) is strictly prohibited.  
  3. SELECTED DRAWINGS: Sixteen winners will be selected by random drawing during the GIVEAWAY PERIOD.  Winners will be notified via phone number and/or email address provided in My Account, and may claim prizes by verifying their name, account number, email and phone number. A prize will be awarded to the CUSTOMER selected in a random drawing if verified by the LVVWD in its sole discretion as being eligible and otherwise in full compliance with these Official Rules. If winner is disqualified or ineligible for any reason, or if winner fails to claim the prize within 14 calendar days of notification, LVVWD will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner determined by a subsequent random drawing.  
  4. PRIZES/ODDS OF WINNING: Approximate retail value of each prize varies between $59.99 - $450.99. (Approximate Retail Value does not represent re-sale value of prize.) Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received at the time of drawing. Limit of one (1) prize per family/household/address in this GIVEAWAY or any other Giveaways offered by LVVWD during the GIVEAWAY PERIOD; Any and all unspecified expenses in conjunction with prize claim/acceptance/use as well as taxes (if any) on the prize are the winner’s sole responsibility. Prize must be accepted as awarded.  No prize substitution except by LVVWD in its sole discretion due to unavailability of prize component for any reason and only then for prize component of comparable value. Prize is not redeemable/exchangeable by winner for cash. No prize transfer except with LVVWD’s written permission which may be granted or withheld in its sole discretion without liability of any kind. Some prizes may contain Vegas Golden Knights merchandise or other branded merchandise, however, neither the Vegas Golden Knights or any other brand or entity is a sponsor of or otherwise involved in this GIVEAWAY.  
  5. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: Employees, officers and directors of the LVVWD, members of their households and their immediate families may not participate in the GIVEAWAY and will not be eligible for prizes. LVVWD’s computer is the official clock for all purposes of the GIVEAWAY.  
  6. RELEASE & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: By entering into the GIVEAWAY, to the fullest extent allowed by law, participants agree to release, indemnify and hold the LVVWD, its Board of Directors, officers, agents and employees harmless from and against any claim, action, liability, loss, damages (including, without limitation, punitive, incidental, and consequential damages) and expenses (including, without limitation, attorney’s fees) arising out of, resulting from, or in any way related or incidental to participation in the GIVEAWAY or the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize. LVVWD is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, illegible/garbled, corrupted, inaccessible, misdirected, incomplete, unrecorded or mutilated and all such entries are void. LVVWD is not responsible for (a) any incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by tampering, hacking, equipment malfunction/failure or other cause; (b) any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission of entries, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; or (c) any problems or technical malfunctions, disruptions or failures of any kind, including telephone network or lines, computer on-line-systems, servers or providers, software or programming or for damage to one’s computer or mobile device due to participation in the GIVEAWAY. LVVWD reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify from the GIVEAWAY and void all entries from any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering (or attempting to tamper) with the entry process or the operation of the GIVEAWAY or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; this expressly includes but is not limited to the use of multiple identities, My Accounts or any other artifice in an attempt to defraud LVVWD. The preceding in no way precludes LVVWD from taking other actions against such individuals so as to protect its legal rights. LVVWD’s failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules in a given circumstance does not constitute the waiver of such provision. 
  7. FORCE MAJEURE: If, for any reason beyond LVVWD’s control, the GIVEAWAY/prizes cannot be offered as originally intended in whole or in part (such as,  unauthorized intervention,  technical failures,  natural cataclysm, riot, strike, civil commotion, governmental regulation), LVVWD reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the GIVEAWAY and select the prize winners from among all eligible entries received prior to and/or after the action taken by LVVWD (as appropriate) or otherwise in a manner which is fair, equitable and in accordance with these Official Rules, as determined by LVVWD in its sole discretion.  Notice of such action by LVVWD will be posted on www.lvvwd.com. 
  8. DISPUTE RESOLUTION/GOVERNING LAW: To the fullest extent permitted by law, by entering the GIVEAWAY, you agree that: (a) any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to these Official Rules or this GIVEAWAY shall be filed exclusively in Nevada State court situated in Clark County, Nevada, or the United States District Court for the Southern District of Nevada situated in Las Vegas, Nevada, and you hereby consent and submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action, with any right of change of venue or forum non conveniens or the like being expressly waived; (b) any such action shall be resolved individually, NOT as part of a class action; (c) any claims/judgments/awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred (if any), but NOT attorneys’ fees (or damages/remedies/relief of any other kind). The GIVEAWAY shall be governed by the laws of the State of Nevada without regard to choice of law/conflict of law principles of the State of Nevada or of any other jurisdiction.  
  9. WINNERS’ LIST: For the names of the winners of the GIVEAWAY, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Public Information Division, Las Vegas Valley Water District, 1001 S. Valley View Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89153.
