someone texting on their mobile phone

Text message terms and conditions

The Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD) offers our customers mobile access to our alert notifications over Short Message Service (SMS). Subscribers will text "CONSERVE" to 85357 to sign up for alerts. Enrollment requires providing a mobile phone number. The mobile phone number's verification is done in the following ways:

  • Subscriber may send a mobile-originated message from their handset to the short code
  • Subscriber may initiate opt-in from a web interface

Message and data rates may apply. Customers will be allowed to opt out of this program at any time. The frequency of messages varies.

Alerts sent via SMS may not be delivered to you if your phone is not in range of a transmission site, or if sufficient network capacity is not available at a particular time. Even within a coverage area, factors beyond the control of your wireless carrier may interfere with message delivery, including the customer's equipment, terrain, proximity to buildings, foliage, and weather. You acknowledge that urgent alerts may not be timely received and that your wireless carrier does not guarantee that alerts will be delivered.

If you have questions about the program, text "HELP" to 85357 or contact us at 702-258-3930.

To stop the messages coming to your phone, you can opt out of the program via SMS. Just text the word "STOP" to 85357. You'll receive a one-time opt-out confirmation text message. After that, you will receive no future messages.

By participating in the LVVWD program, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions presented here. View our Privacy Policy.
