Our internship program gives students and recent graduates hands-on experience, meaningful projects, and opportunities to work alongside professionals who help deliver safe, reliable water service to Southern Nevada. Build valuable skills, explore career paths, and make a meaningful impact in your community.

The LVVWD internship program

For more than 40 years, the Las Vegas Valley Water District has offered one of Nevada's premier internship programs. As the region's primary water provider, we offer paid internships across a wide range of disciplines, including engineering, environmental science, legal studies, fleet services, hydrology, operations, and more.

Interns gain meaningful, hands-on experience by contributing to real projects that support the District's mission while building the skills and professional experience needed for successful careers.

Internship opportunities are available at five locations across Southern Nevada, including the Las Vegas Valley Water District, Southern Nevada Water Authority, and Springs Preserve, giving students exposure to diverse facilities, teams, and operational environments.
